One of my favorite places to visit while driving along the Pacific Coast Highway is Carmel By The Sea because it’s such a peaceful place. There are lots of amazing, fairy-tale-style homes in the middle of the town and it’s a great place to stop off for lunch or dinner if you want to spend a few days there.
Point Sur Lighthouse
Point Sur Lighthouse is an old lighthouse built in 1858. This place is very popular among tourists who come here to take pictures.
The most Instagrammable spot here are the lighthouse and the ocean views. You can even climb up to the top of the lighthouse where you can look out over the sea. There are also plenty of trails around the area that offer great hiking opportunities.
Garrapata State Park
Garrapata State Park is one of California’s most beautiful state parks. It offers visitors stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding hills. This scenic location features a long stretch of golden sand, making it ideal for picnics, hiking, biking, and much more.
If you have time. the Garrapata State Beach is open for public access, so visitors and locals alike can enjoy its beautiful beaches and sunsets. It is located just over 2 miles from the park, which makes it easy to get to.
Sand Dollar Beach
Sand Dollar Beach, one of the most photographed spots in Big Sur, California, is located in southern Big Sur, about 30.5 miles north from San Simeon. This long white sand beach is surrounded by tall cliffs and rocky outcroppings.
The longest beach in the area, it is known for its always reliable companions – the tireless ocean waves crashing on the beach in a chaotic way, and frequent surfers.
With its always beautiful weather conditions, the beach offers a wealth of photographic opportunities, whether it is sunny or cloudy day.

Monterey
Monterey is a delightful town located off Highway. It’s home to the famous Cannery Row, where you’ll find restaurants serving everything from seafood to fine dining. And there are plenty of shops to browse — including some great art galleries.
It’s a small place but a great adventure for the whole family to enjoy. You can snap some photos of the beautiful scenery.
Calla Lily Valley
The Calla Lily Valley is one of the most beautiful spots in Big Sur. Located near the south end of Highway One, it is a popular spot for visitors hoping to snap pictures of the blooming plants.
During February and March, the valley is filled with hundreds of thousands of calla lily blooms. The small creek flows through the center of the valley, creating a bubble effect where the water looks like it’s talking to each individual blossom.
This is the perfect place to take photos because you’ll find lots of space to spread out, and there are no crowds. You won’t see anyone else taking pictures here.
